"An installation in which a series of heavy raw-wood beams slant through the gallery from wall to wall, as though the roof of a barn or shed had sliced through the little white cube. Spaced at the construction-standard width of sixteen inches, the joists also tilt progressively toward the floor at the back of the room, so that visitors must duck down, or thread head and shoulders through the openings as if popping up through an unfinished floor. These very simple forms create a surprisingly complex sculptural and architectural effect."
